
Dr. Ashraf A. Amir

Dr. Ashraf A. Amir is a Consultant in Family Medicine and an accomplished healthcare leader with over 30 years of experience in medical practice in Saudi Arabia. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Executive Medical Services and External Affairs and is the former Chief Medical Officer at the International Medical Center (IMC), Jeddah. He holds a Physician Executive MBA from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA, and is also an H. Assistant Professor of Medicine at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah. Dr. Ashraf is the Vice President of the Saudi Society of Family and Community Medicine and a member at large in the World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA) for the Eastern Mediterranean Region. He serves on the national health committee of the Federation of Saudi Chambers and is an Executive Board Member of the Gulf Society for Family Medicine.
He is also the President of the annual International IMC Family Medicine Conference and the monthly IMC Family Medicine Club. Throughout his career, Dr. Ashraf has held numerous leadership roles, including with the Saudi Public Health Authority, the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, the Saudi Health Council, and the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI). He is a member of both the American Academy of Family Medicine and the World Organization for Family Doctors. Additionally, he has served on the Scientific Board of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties for Family Medicine and chaired the Scientific Board of the National Home Health Care Foundation. Dr. Ashraf’s contributions to primary healthcare and public health are reflected in his national and international speaking engagements and a range of published articles and research.
