Dr. Joud Abduljawad is an accomplished healthcare leader and Consultant in Emergency Medicine, recognized for his expertise in clinical performance improvement, integrated care, health system redesign, innovation, and medical informatics. He is currently the Partner and Chief Medical Officer at CF-Middle East, where he plays a pivotal role in driving transformative change across the healthcare sector.
Dr. Joud has a distinguished track record of delivering significant improvements in patient safety, quality of care, and operational efficiency. He has held several senior leadership positions across governmental and private healthcare organizations in both the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia.
Most notably, he served as the Corporate Chairman of Clinical Performance and Innovation at the Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs (MNGHA) from 2016. In this role, he was responsible for setting standards, monitoring healthcare delivery performance across MNGHA facilities, and leading system-wide innovation, digital health integration, and the development of new integrated care models.
Previously, Dr. Joud was the Divisional Clinical Director of Emergency Services at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, one of the UK’s leading academic health science centers. His earlier roles include serving as a Specialist Advisor to the UK Care Quality Commission (CQC), where he conducted inspections of hospitals and ambulance services across England, and acting as a Clinical Lead for the National Emergency Care Improvement Program, supporting emergency departments nationwide in achieving performance improvements.
Dr. Joud is a UK-qualified Consultant in Emergency Medicine, having completed his training in the Mersey Region in 2011. His career reflects a deep commitment to healthcare innovation, systems leadership, and delivering excellence in clinical care.
